FP1850 : An Interesting Case of AXIAL PROPTOSIS with LIMITATION of MOVEMENTS – A Case Report

Abstract

A Patient 50 years old had complaints of vision loss in right eye for past 1 year. H/O trauma to right eye by hammer before 1 year with progressive bulging of right eye and vision loss.
Patient is a known case of Depression taking medications for 15 years.

On evaluation, Visual acuity in Right eye was NO PL (perception of light)& left eye was 6/18.
Intra Ocular Pressure,IOP – Right eye -20 mmHg ; Left eye – 18 mmHg

On examination -Right eye had AXIAL PROPTOSIS with Grade 3 RAPD ( Relative Afferent Pupillary Defect )with ONLY ADDUCTION movement Present .

MRI ORBIT showed relatively hyperintense ,well defined T2 heterogeneous LESION in EXTRA CONAL SPACE OF RIGHT ORBIT with intracranial, ethmoidal extension with minimal cerebral parenchymal infiltration.

RIGHT EYE Vision Loss was due "COMPRESSIVE OPTIC NEUROPATHY" -secondary to ORBITAL MASS.
