Abstract

Study design – Case report
Purpose – To describe a case of a 10 year old boy with Sturge Weber Syndrome with left eye diffuse choroidal hemangioma with subretinal fluid which was treated with Transpupillary Thermotherapy and showed a good response as documented by serial ultrasound B-scans
Methods – With written informed consent, child underwent Transpupillary Thermotherapy under general anesthesia
Results – There was a reduction in apical thickness from 3.07mm to a thickness of 2.06mm in 2.5 months of doing TTT with reduction in subretinal fluid as seen in serial ultrasound B-scans. Gain in BCVA from LOGMAR 0.60 to 0.20
Conclusion – Transpupillary Thermotherapy is a viable modality of treatment of diffuse choroidal hemagioma
