Abstract
Residents use surgical logbook to assess the quality of surgical training. We introduce "ScrubBook"a digital web based app in a smartphone for all surgical data records during residency. It records patient's demographic data, eye operated, systemic illness, preoperative details of the eye including visual acuity, grade of cataract, associated ocular findings; steps assisted by trainer, intraoperative complications if any, postoperative details including visual acuity, status of eye. We also included the OSCAR grading (standard grading system of MSICS) for resident training which was marked by trainer after the surgery. It evaluated progress after every surgery due to systematic data entry and helped in case wise analysis. It gave a precise and detailed overview on every step of the surgery which helped to analyse the steps which need more wetlab practise. It is a perfect go-to-app in every smartphone serving as a guide for surgical training, reviewing complications for every resident.
