Abstract

Study Design: cross sectional study conducted in tertiary care hospital in Amravati
Purpose: determine association of intraocular pressure and retinal nerve fibre layer thickness in pseudoexfoliation patients in tertiary care hospital in Amravati.
Methodology: 60 pseudoexfoliation syndrome patients(>40 years) were studied. IOP measurement( goldmann applanation tonometry ,non contact tonometer).OCT RNFL using APPA OCT machine (sd oct),gonioscopy ,axial length calculated and fundus examination done using indirect ophthalmoscope and 90d lens followed by statistical analysis .
Results: Pseudoexfoliation patients(50/60) with normal iop and visual fields have thin rnfl
Conclusion: routine assessment and follow up of pxf patients with oct helps in early diagnosis of pxf glaucoma
