FP1678 : PREVALANCE OF GLAUCOMA AND COMPARISION WITH SEVERITY OF OBSTRUCTIVE SLEEP APNEA

Abstract

Aim: To assess the prevalence of glaucoma among OSA patients and comparing with the severity of the disease.
Methods: Cross sectional study. 100 patients of all grades of severity of OSA were recruited based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. BMI and AHI were assessed. Oxygen saturation was noted during daytime and sleep time. They were evaluated for IOP, optic disc changes, Visual fields, CCT, OCT RNFL. Gonioscopy was done only if AC depth is less than van herick gr 2. Each parameter was assessed and compared with severity of OSA.
Result: The presence of glaucoma did not correlate with sex, body mass index (BMI), or AHI, but did appear to be associated with age. Prevalence of glaucoma more among severe OSA group. RNFL thickness was found be to affected in all groups.
