FP1646 : Comparison of ocular biometric parameters using swept-source optical coherence tomography biometers

Abstract

Purpose: Compare difference in ocular biometry parameters measured using commercially available SS-OCT biometers in cataractous eyes.
Methods: Systematic review and meta-analysis. PubMed, Cochrane, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar were searched for studies on ocular biometry measurements in cataract patients using different SS-OCT biometers.
Results: A total of 85 studies which measured 95,216 eyes were included. The pooled estimates of axial length (AL), anterior chamber depth (ACD), lens thickness (LT), intraocular lens (IOL) power, and keratometry (Km), except CCT, were not significantly different between the devices. The I2 was high for all parameters and there was no significant publication bias for AL, ACD, and IOL power.
Conclusions: Overall, all the SS-OCT biometers demonstrated similar accuracy and reliability and therefore may support the use of these biometers interchangeably.
