Abstract

A 55year old male with past history of CML presented with painless decreased vision in both eyes for 2 months.His best corrected visual acuity was 6/12 in right eye and 6/18 in left eye.Retinal examination revealed bilateral multiple scattered retinal hemorrhages with hard exudates and roth spots.CBC revealed hyperleukocytosis ,low hemoglobin.Peripheral smear revealed leukocytosis with marked shift to left with impression of Chronic phase of CML .OCT showed full thickness homogenous hyper reflectivity of inner and outer retina.His blood sugar levels were found to be high(FBS-153,PPBS-226,HbA1c-10.7) .The patient was referred to hematology for treatment of CML relapse.
