FP1552 : OCT-A based study on Central macular vascular density of SCP in unilateral amblyopia

Abstract

STUDY DESIGN: Cross sectional AIM:To quantify the central vascular density of SCP in U/L amblyopia and comparison with emmetropic fellow eye.METHOD 20 patients of U/L amblyopia 10 patients of anisohypermetropic and strabismic type of 5-12 years were included. Fellow eyes were taken as controls. OCTA scans of the macula were taken & CVD was recorded. The mean of the CVD of SCP was calculated for all amblyopic eyes and fellow eyes. The mean was also calculated separately and compared with the control group.RESULT The mean CVD (SCP) in amblyopic eyes was 5.77 + 5.09 and in control eyes was 8.88 + 3.74 (p=<0.001). In anisohypermetropic group, the difference in mean values of the amblyopic & fellow eye was -4.900 (p<0.001). In strabismic group, the difference in mean values of amblyopic
& fellow eye was -1.320 (p=0.051).CONCLUSION CVD of SCP is significantly lesser in amblyopic eyes. This difference is significant in anisohypermetropic amblyopia but not in strabismic amblyopia.
