Abstract
Study design: Retrospective, comparative Purpose: To study agreement between biometric data obtained by ARGOS (A) and IOL master 700 (I). Methods: 24 patients (30 eyes), with no prior eye surgeries or ocular trauma, underwent biometry for cataract surgery work up with A and I on the same day. Average keratometry (K), Axial length(AL) and IOL power (IOL) obtained by A and I were compared. Results: 30 eyes of 24 patients (16 females, mean age 60.5 years) included. The mean (SD) of AL, K and IOL with A and I were 22.97 ± 0.96 mm, 44.6D±1.46 D and 21.57±2.9 and 23.01± 0.96 mm, 44.6D± 1.6 D, and 21.7±2.9 respectively and found to correlate well (p<0.001). The mean paired difference was not significant for K and AL(p>0.05); statistically significant (p<0.05) but clinically insignificant for IOL (-0.2). The limits of agreement obtained by Bland Altman plot analysis were acceptable for all three parameters. Conclusion: AL, K and IOL calculated by A and I are in agreement with each other.
