Abstract

Purpose:VKC is a recurrent allergic inflammation,as Vitamin D levels are deficient in spectrum of allergic conditions like rhinitis,this study aims to investigate the association of serum Vitamin D level and VKC in children.
Method and materials:study was prospective design with a sample size of approximately 44 children diagnosed with mild to moderate VKC ,serum Vitamin D level was analysed and appropriate treatment was given in consultation with pediatrician.Statistical test was done for data analysis
Results:out of 44 cases 38-Male 6-Female children,most of the affected age group was 1-10 years -80%,10-15years -20%,almost 90%(40children)showed deficient in Vitamin D level (<20ng/dl)only 10%(4CHILDREN)showed insufficient level (20-29ng/dl)
Conclusion:Findings of study potentially provides insights into prevention and management strategies for allergic conditions like VKC
