FP1374 : Ocular ultrasonography and SD-OCT to distinguish Grade I and II papilledema from pseudopapilledema

Abstract

STUDY DESIGN : cross sectional study
PURPOSE : To compare the sensitivity of ocular ultrasonography and SD-OCT parameters to distinguish Grade I, II papilledema from pseudopapilledema
METHODS : :
This is hospital-based cross sectional study. The duration of the study will be from September 2022- September 2023. Patient underwent thorough clinical examination . For B scan parameters (ONSD and 30 ⁰ test ,optic disc elevation and crescent sign ) and SDOCT parameters (p RNFL, BMO, ONHV , GCL-IPL) were taken.
RESULTS : Compared to pseudopapilledema, papilledema eyes showed larger mean ONSD , greater change(%) of ONSD at lateral gaze . In SDOCT parameters pRNFL and GCIPL had a correlation with papilledema
CONCLUSIONS : Ocular ultrasonography and SDOCT can be potentially used to differentiate between papilledema and pseudopapilledema
