Abstract
Purpose: To evaluate the surgical results of combined trabeculotomy-trabeculectomy (CTT) in primary Congenital Glaucoma (PCG). Methods: Medical records of infants with PCG underwent CTT between January 2010 and December 2022 was reviewed retrospectively. Children with minimum one year follow up were included in the study. Corneal diameter, IOP, CD ratio and CCT was recorded preoperatively and on each follow up visits. Surgery was considered to be successful if post operative IOP was 21 mm Hg or less with or without medication. Results: 65 eyes (38 infants) underwent CTT during study period were available for analysis. The mean post operative IOP was 18 ± 8.0 mm Hg. The Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that success rate at one year follow up was 86.2%. Complications includes hyphema(8eyes) & shallow AC(6 eyes) which resolved spontaneously. Conclusion: Primary combined trabeculotomy-trabeculectomy is safe and effective surgical procedure in treatment of primary congenital glaucoma.
