Abstract

59 year old male presented with a gradual painless , progressive drooping of left upper eyelid for a period of 8 months. Patient had no associated complaints of diplopia or diminution of vision . On examination the mass on the supero-lateral orbit was mobile , non pulsating, non reducible. Radiological investigation showed homogenous enhacement of well defined mass (1.5*1.5 cm) suggestive of pleomorphic adenoma. Anterior orbitotomy approach was taken against the general consensus of lateral orbitotomy approach . Eyelid swing procedure ( variation of trans conjunctival approach) was taken to extract the mass . The entire mass was removed with careful surgical plane management and in-toto removal . The canthoplasty and canthopexy enhanced the cosmetic restoration.
