FP1098 : Pattern and profile of pediatric intermediate uveitis at tertiary eye care center in post COVID era

Abstract

METHOD: A retrospective study was done on 15 new cases (23 eyes) of age less than 16 years of Intermediate uveitis seen by 1 uvea specialist in post COVID 1 year and was evaluated according to the ocular involvement and the most probable etiological factor based on clinical manifestations and results of specific laboratory investigations.
RESULT: Intermediate uveitis was seen in 15.2 % of all the paediatric uveitis cases (99 cases) in post COVID 1 year.Male:female ratio was 1:1.5.Most common cause of intermediate uveitis was idiopathic (53.3%), followed by HLA B27 (20%) and sarcoidosis(13.3%). 13.3% cases were of tuberculos etiology. Immunosuppression was needed in 4 patients and cataract surgery was done in 3 cases.
