Abstract

Study design – Case report
Purpose – To report a case of unilateral anterior uveitis in a patient with Wilson’s disease.
Methods – Patient presented to OPD of a tertiary care hospital in Northeast India with complaints of blurring of vision and pain in left eye. Patient was examined under slit lamp, fundus examination and anterior segment OCT.
Results – Slit lamp examination revealed normal anterior segment in right eye, In the left eye (OS) there was presence of circumcorneal congestion, an isolated keratic precipitate, Kayser Fleischer ring, anterior chamber reaction, along with iris pigments over the anterior lens capsule. Posterior segment examination of both eyes (OU) was normal. AS-OCT of the left eye (OS) further aided in the identification of KF ring. Conclusion – The identification of K-F ring helps in the early diagnosis of Wilson’s disease and its treatment.
