FP1024 : REFRACTIVE OUTCOMES IN HIGH MYOPES COMPARING BARRET – II , SRK-T AND WANG KOCH ADJUSTED SRK- T

Abstract

Study design-Retrospective study
Aim- To study the refractive outcomes in high myopic patients with axial length(AL) > 27 mm undergoing phacoemulsification using Barret Universal II , SRK_T and Wang-Koch adjusted SRK_T
Materials and methods- Hundred eyes of 91 patients operated for cataract from january 2022 to january 2023 were included. IOL power calculated with Barret Universal II was implanted in all eyes. Biometry was repeated using SRK_T using actual AL and Wang-Koch adjusted AL. Post operative refraction using Barret and assumed target refraction using SRK_T were analysed
Results- Mean AL in this study was 29.70mm. Mean pre-operative spherical equivalent(SE) was -9.5DS . Postoperative mean SE using actual AL was 0.045DS and 0.75DS with Barret -II and SRK_T respectively, while it was -0.27 DS with Wang-koch adjusted SRK_T.
Conclusion- Performance of Barret-II and Wang-Koch adjusted SRK_T was found to be comparable in high myopes especially while implanting minus powered IOL
