Abstract
A 28 year old male presented with left eye looking abnormally white for past 8 months. His best corrected visual acuity was 6/9 in right eye and Hand movement close to face in left eye. He was a diagnosed case of Marfan Syndrome. He had amblyopia and was operated for left divergent squint 1 year back.On slit lamp examination, cornea was clear and left eye subluxated lens with mature cataract was seen. On fundus examination of left eye, Complete retinal detachment was seen. Poor prognosis explained to the patient. He agreed to proceed with removal of subluxated lens for cosmetic purpose. Extraction of subluxated lens with anterior vitrectomy done and he was rendered aphakic. On follow up after 1 month, his best corrected visual acuity was finger counting close to face in left eye.
