Abstract
Minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) has emerged as a transformative paradigm in managing glaucoma, offering ophthalmologists a diverse range of techniques to improve patient outcomes. This video provides a comprehensive overview of MIGS procedures, including trabecular meshwork bypass devices like iStent, excisional goniotomy including gonioscopy-assisted transluminal trabeculotomy (GATT), bent ab-interno needle goniectomy (BANG) & Kahook Dual Blade (KDB), decreasing production by endoscopic cyclophotocoagulation (ECP) and focusing its impact on patient’s quality of life, postoperative complications, and the long-term sustainability of intraocular pressure (IOP) reduction. Understanding these aspects is crucial in determining the role of MIGS in the current glaucoma treatment paradigm. Thus, this video precisely aims to navigate around the evolving landscape of MIGS in a concise & innovative manner in a do-it-yourself (DIY) template.
