Abstract
Study Design:This was a retrospective, descriptive study of all consecutive eyes with Pachychoroid Neovasculopathy(PNV), treated with brolucizumab in a tertiary Ophthalmology facility.
Purpose:To evaluate the effects of intravitreal brolucizumab injection(6mg/0.05ml) in cases of PNV.
Methods:Total 12 eyes of 11 patients with PNV were selected, of which 9 eyes were treatment-naïve. All eyes were treated on a PRN regime and followed up monthly upto at least 12 months. Retreatment was considered in presence of subretinal or intraretinal fluid.
Results:The mean pre-treatment vision was 0.85 logMAR which improved to 0.67 logMAR. The mean central subfield thickness(CST) improved from 431.5 um to 284 um at the last follow-up period. The mean subfoveal Choroidal Thickness was also found to be decreased from 413 um to 368 um after injections. None of the eyes experienced any intraocular inflammation after 33 injection sessions.
Conclusion:Brolucizumab is effective and safe in treating PNV.
