35 eyes APROP
14 eyes PLUS disease – NVI
13 eyes, Zone 2 Stage 3 ROP
Purpose
In the era of anti-vegf, prompt lasers can be deferred in AP-ROP cases, thus promoting the growth of retina and decreasing the severity of myopia.
Method
12 eyes – I/V 0.2 ml Ranibizumab was injected. 3 eyes Biosimilar was injected. 4 eyes Re-injection was done.
FUP – post-op 3rd day, 1weekly for 1 month, monthly for a year, yearly till date i;e 5 years.
Result
Resolution of severe neovascular plus disease. Decrease in venous dilatation and arterial tortuosity. Progression of retinal vasculature beyond neovascular tissue into peripheral avascular retina. Out of 35 only 4 eyes were lasered – detached retina is floating like whisp in vitreous cavity.
Conclusion
After 5 years FUP I/V injections
No myopia, No strabismus and No re-activation was seen.
