FP0383 : Clinical profile and management of ocular TB presenting in a tertiary eye care centre in North U.P.

Abstract

Study design-observational restrospective study
Purpose-Evaluate clinical profile,management & outcomes of ocular TB
Methods-Records of patients from August 2021 to April 2023 with ocular TB were evaluated
Results-227 eyes of 163 patients (64 B/L cases,more in females) with ocular TB were studied. Mean presenting age is 36 years ,initial BCVA of 20/80 (logMAR 0.6).M/c manifestation being Intermediate uveitis, f/b panuveitis & retinal vasculitis, a/w complicated cataract(m/c),f/b VH,CME.Mantoux/IGRA/CECT thorax was positive in 99.38% cases.60% cases completed ATT course, with adjuvant T/t of oral steroids (m/c),PST,PRP. 90.7% cases completely resolved with mean BCVA logMAR 0.38,with associated finding of complicated cataract(m/c),ERM,CME.Secondary glaucoma being m/c T/t related complication,majority managed conservatively. Recurrence is m/c in MFC, f/b panuveitis,retinal vasculitis & choroidal granuloma.
Conclusion-Ocular TB with wide presentation spectrum,needs more future studies.
