FP2136 : Orbital Lymphoma- Retrospective Analysis of Large Case Series

Abstract

STUDY DESIGN: Retrospective, consecutive, interventional case series. PURPOSE: To analyse the clinico-pathological features, management & outcomes of orbital lymphoma. METHOD: 171 biopsy proven cases of orbital lymphoma were reviewed. RESULTS:Mean age was 49.3 years with a male predominance in 114(66.67%).Most common presenting symptom was protrusion in 92(53.8%).Histopathological examination revealed B-cell type non-Hodgkins lymphoma (non specified in 76, extra-nodal marginal zone lymphoma in 20, follicular lymphoma in 7, T cell lymphoblastic was seen in 1 and metastatic lymphoma in 2cases.Clinico-radiological diagnosis correlated with histopathology in 76(44.47%).8(4.9%) manifested systemic lymphoma. Treatment involved external beam radiotherapy therapy for cases localized to orbit and chemotherapy in systemic lymphoma.66.1% showed complete remission at a mean follow up duration of 11.9 months CONCLUSION: Orbital lymphoma has excellent prognosis if appropriately managed.
