FP1095 : Prospective interventional study of PSLT in lowering IOP in POAG and OHT in Indian eyes

Abstract

Method of study : Patients are consecutively recruited for pattern selective laser trabeculoplasty from OPD
PSLT (Pattern Scanning Laser Trabeculoplasty ) is performed with Pascal Laser
Latina lens used which is optically tuned for 530 nm wavelength.
The 22.5 Degree arc aiming beam focussed trabecular meshwork in order to ensure round beam and maximise energy delivery.
Fixed spot size of 100µm used, Total around 1000 spots with 16 segments is used
Result : Main Outcome was IOP lowering efficacy , Safety and Tolerability of PSLT
37 eyes of 33 patients
Males = 28 Females = 5
Mean age : 58.64 ± 18.19 years
Mean number of topical anti glaucoma medication= 2.86 ± 1.06
Mean IOP Pre PSLT : 23.78 ± 6.38 mmHg
Mean IOP Post PSLT
Day 1: 14.16 ± 4.10 mmHg,1 week: 16.95 ± 4.731 mmHg,1 month: 17.76 ± 4.77 mmHg,3 months : 18.37 ± 4.40 mmHg,6 months : 17.05 ± 4.032 mm Hg
Conclusion
PSLTis an effective and safe as an adjunctive treatment for lowering IOP in patients of POAG and OHT
