Case report
Here we are presenting a non diabetic , non hypertensive 42 year old women who came with sudden painless loss of vision in right eye since 2days. Patient has history of basilar aneurysm and underwent coiling in 2019 . On visual acuity assessment patient had no perception of light in right eye and 6/6 in left eye. Slit lamp examination showed right eye RAPD and other anterior segment examination within normal limits.
Right eye fundoscopy showed pallid disc edema with dilated and tortuous veins and dot and blot hemorrhages with cherry red spot in macula .Patient underwent detailed evaluation including complete hemogram, lipid profile, Serum homocysteine and ANA levels ,Carotid doppler, MRI brain and genetic testing for DADA syndrome and all results were within normal limits.
Hence the case was diagnosed as Idiopathic unilateral combined central retinal artery and vein occlusion
