Abstract

We present two cases of panuveitis in their only seeing eye nearly 20 years after trauma in the other eye. Case 1 was a 43 years male. The blind RE had CCC, vascularized cornea, deep AC with cells, total posterior synechiae. The LE had BCVA of 6/12, AC grade 3 cells and anterior vitreal cells.Case 2 was 23 years old male. The blind RE showed CCC, deep corneal vascularization, ciliary staphylomas AC cells . LE showed clear cornea , grade 2 cells in AC and anterior vitreal cells.
In both patients no view of fundus in RE.LE fundus in both patients showed multiple areas of NSD over posterior pole with hyperemic disc. In both, the OCT showed NSD with subretinal septae. FFA in both showed multiple discrete hyperflouorscent spots with late leakage. USB scan showed choroidal thickening.Both were treated with IV methylprednisolone initially followed by oral steroids with slow tapering and oral azathioprine. Both cases showed excellent visual and symptomatic recovery and are under follow up.
