Abstract

Purpose: Case report on post operative IOL implantation occlusio pupillae 2 weeks after uneventful MSICS under LA
Methodology: 74 year old female presented with reduced vision in left eye after taking headbath, and headache since 4:30 pm. Vision-Left Eye Hand Movements. Conjunctiva quiet, section opposed wound healthy, pigments on back of cornea, shallow AC + fibrinous strands, inflamed iris, pupil covered with mobile pigmented fibrin membrane, however reacting to light. No further details visible. IOP Left eye 50 mmHg by NCT. B scan USG showed posterior segment normal. Eye drops Prednisolone Acetate 1%, Moxifloxacin 0.5%, Homatropine 2%, Nepafenac 0.1%, Dorzolamide 2%, T. Ciprofloxacin 500 mg, and T. Acetazolamide 250 mg was started. Membrane adhesiolysis by YAG laser done.
Results: Vision improved to 6/18 with Pinhole 6/9 after 48 hours with IOP by NCT- 18 mmHg.
Conclusion: Rubbing of the eyes or foreign material in eye can cause a sterile uveitic reaction post operatively.
