FP1524 : An interesting case of RE ruptured retrobulbar dermoid cyst

Abstract

A 2yr/FCH, c/o pus discharge from right temple region & protrusion of RE ×15 days,with pain.O/E: baby fixes & follows light,RE- mild protrusion,pupil-SRTL,with abduction restriction.LE-NAD,BE normal Fundus. Local examination: right temple region- small 1*1 cm pus discharging sinus tract,Bscan of RE shows retrobulbar mass 16*15 mm pushing the globe forward.MRI shows heterogenous peripherally enhancing lesion in the lateral superior quadrant of intraconal space of Right orbit,indending the posterior sclera of the eye ball with erosion of lesser wing of sphenoid suggestive of ruptured dermoid cyst.
