Abstract

Congenital entropion is a rare, which mostly occurs due to disinsertion of lower lid retractors. Here we report a rare case of a left eye lower lid entropion in a 18 year girl who presented with watering and diminished vision in left eye since early childhood. On examination, her vision was 6/6 in right eye and 6/18 in left eye.She had left eye lower lid entropion along with distichiasis. Right eye anterior segment findings are within normal limits. Left eye cornea had multiple superficial punctates and rest is within normal limits. We did epilation of lashes and gave lubricating eye drops and called her after 1 week. On follow up her cornea got clear but small growth of eyelashes can be seen in the left lower lid, so we planned for left lower lid pentagonal resection with inferior lid retractor plication under GA. Postoperatively after 1 month we did refraction and with glasses her vision improves to 6//6 in left eye.
