Abstract
A Dermoid cyst is a congenital choristoma of the orbit. Choristoma is a benign tumour consisting of histologically normal cells occurring in a abnormal location. Dermoid cyst consisting of keratinised epithelium and adnexal structures such as hair follicles,sweat glands and sebaceous glands. They slowly enlarge with age
CASE HISTORY- A 20 year old male student presented with complaints of swelling in right upper eyelid medial canthal region for past 5 months. He also complaints of defective vision for past 2 months. No H/O pain,redness over swelling. No H/O discharge. Now presented with increase in size of swelling for past 1 week.
visual acuity OD 6/18 PH 6/12

On examination 1.5*1.5 cm size smooth non tender swelling present in superonasal quadrant of right upper lid
CT ORBIT- well defined fat containing lesion measuring 1.2*1.2 cm seen anterior to orbital septum on medial septum of right orbit
CT BRAIN – No evidence of intracranial extension.
