FP0136 : A FASCINATING CASE OF IOID- Inflammatory orbital eye disease

Abstract

CASE HISTORY- A 55 year old woman presented to ophthalmology opd with complaints of severe pain,edema of left eye upper lid for past 1 day. She also complained of decreased vision and painful movement of left eye.History of Diplopia present.History of fever present.
Not a known case of any systemic diseases.

BVCA – OD-6/9 OS-6/24
Color vision -Normal
EOM- painful and restricted on lateral gaze
O/E Anterior segment left eye- lid edema+ erythema +
Conjunctival congestion +
Pupil – reacting to light
Fundus examination- deferred
Right eye – within normal limits

CT ORBIT done – thickening of left lateral recuts muscle tendon

Treatment- She was started on oral steroids and followed up after 2 days
