Abstract

Purpose : to report a case of recurrent MOGAD optic neuritis
Case report: 13 yr old female presented to us with complaint of blurring of vision of left eye since 1 day ,sudden in onset ,associated with colour desaturation , headache , painful movement of left eye .LE BCVA is 2/60,RAPD with defective colour vision,Fundus shows temporal disc pallor . CONTRAST MRI WITH DEMYELINATION PROFILE shows left eye flair hyperintensity in intraorbital segment of left optic nerve,MOG antibody is positive.she is a known case of MOGAD B/L optic neuritis ,diagnosed 3 months back was on methyl prednisolone treatment.
Result:relapse of MOGAD optic neuritis
CONCLUSION :Manifestation of MOGAD are diverse.we are reporting this case to emphasise the importance of keeping in mind the differentiation of MOGAD in cases presenting with B/L optic neuritis which require adequate treatment & followup to prevent recurrence.
