Abstract

Pituitary adenomas are the most common cause of optic chiasm compression in adults involve Visual field defects as Bitemporal hemianopia & junctional scotoma.Visual field disturbances are the most common symptoms at presentation.We included patients with Pituitary Macroadenoma presented differently to our Neuroophthalmology department diagnosed as Pituitary adenoma. First a 45 year old male with headache since 1 month, Field shows bitemporal hemianopia &MRI- typical chiasmal compressing lesion .Another a 42 year old female with sudden onset defective vision in both eye,with clinicaly hyperemic optic disc.Fields showed bitemporal Central scotoma close to fixation ,suspected RBN ,MRI-showed well defined suprasellar lesion extend into intercarotid line. Another 35 year old presented with sudden onset diplopia since 1 week.Clinicaly showed EOM restriction with ptosis, diagnosed as pupil involving Third Nerve palsy .MRI suggestive of Pituitary Macroadenoma compress Cavernous Sinus.
