Abstract

Study design- Analytical study
Purpose- Clinically evaluate patients of various types of Glaucoma and analyse parameters of glaucoma in patients using neuroprotective agents at 1,3,6 months.To use this study for managing patients with various modalities.
METHOD
Analytical study was conducted in the patients visiting OPD of department of ophthalmology of NSCB medical college. Total of 100 eyes were randomly selected who were clinically diagnosed with various types of glaucoma in our OPD .
RESULT
Patients Using Neuroprotective agents has slow progression of glaucomatous changes like Automated perimetry, IOP, and RNFL loss
CONCLUSION
Neuroprotection has the potential to play a critical role in glaucoma treatment. Improvement in RGCs survival and decrease in cell death can not only slow disease progression but even restore visual function.
