FP1960 : CASE REPORT OF RETINAL ARTERIAL MACROANEURYSM

Abstract

Retinal arterial macroaneurysm, acquired dilatation of the retinal artery, usually solitary, unilateral&occur in elderly hypertensive women. A 63yr male hypertensive patient presented with gradual painless diminution of vision in LE since 5yrs with BCVA CFCF. LE fundus showed saccular dilatation of 2nd order inferotemporal arteriole with circinate exudates within that thickening noted s/o fluid extending between temporal arcades. LDL is markedly elevated. LE OCT showed altered foveal contour with hyporeflective area over the outermost hyperreflective line s/oSRF, surrounding intraretinal hyperreflectivity with backshadowing s/ohard exudates, hyperreflectivity at center with underlying structures not visible s/o scarring. LE FFA in early phase showed bulging of inferotemporal arteriole with enlarged FAZ, surrounding hyperfluorescence in early & late phase is seen with peripheral blocked hypofluorescence. Inj Ranibizumab 0.3mg at monthly interval given for 3 months, no improvement was seen.
