VT0629 : Rolling of retina under Perfluoro-n-octane used as short-term tamponade

Abstract

Pediatric giant retinal tears may be associated with extensive proliferative vitreoretinopathy for the management of which short-term Perfluoro-n-octane tamponade can be used. Retinal rolling under PFO in closed vitreous cavity is unusual. In this video presentation, we share a case of 10 year old child with pathological myopia associated GRT with total retinal detachment who showed retinal rolling under short-term PFO tamponade. We also present its successful management.
