Abstract
Recurrent retinal detachments with PVR are always troublesome for VR surgeons, many a times warranting long complex and multiple surgeries.
Presenting 3 such cases where PVR was leading to tractional recurrent RD and where silicone oil turned out to be our great ally.
Without removing the existing silicone oil, multiple membranes were peeled under oil, Membrane edge identification and peel was assisted by silicone oil, providing contrast at the edge and counter traction while peeling. Retina could be attached successfully saving precious surgical time, efforts, and surgical cost.
Presenting ‘Minimally invasive PVR surgery’
