Abstract
A 2 month old boy with family history of retinoblastoma presented to us with left eye enucleated and group E retinoblastoma with exudative RD in right eye.He underwent 6 cycles of chemotherapy and TTT to the tumour. At 18 months,he udnerwent scleral buckling for a rhegmatogenous RD followed by Lens Aspiration+IOL at 4 years. At 7 years,he had a recurrent RD,so we performed vitrectomy with silicone oil tamponade. As the RD persisted,a macular buckle was placed-but the RD however persisted in the child's only seeing eye.In our final attempt to salvage some useful vision,we performed a Tumour fracture with silicone oil tamponade and were able to settle the retina. The child maintains a vision of 20/120, on 7 year followup. This video shows the multiple surgeries that we performed in order to save the only seeing eye of this child.
