Abstract

As the quest for a safe& effective surgery for glaucoma continues,MIGS has added another armor for the battle against glaucoma. The hurdles during the learning stage are numerous; ranging from learning to work at a limited angle space to simultaneous intra & extraocular manipulation. The stepping stone to any MIGS procedure be it trabeculotomy or GATT or istent or KDB or BANG, is to master the skill of intraoperative gonioscopy. Achieving a perfect “Enface” angle visualization can be challenging for a MIGS neophyte. It can be quite disheartening when a surgeon constantly loses the view while trying to perform the angle procedures.Minute changes can make a huge difference. Changes in table adjustment to surgeon seating to lens docking can make life easier for a surgeon foraying into the world of MIGS.
