Abstract

Dr.Arvind Kumar Morya

Innovations in ophthalmology are making life simpler for Ophthalmic – practitioners and surgeons. 3-D Models, Instruments and Accessories to established equipment often begin not only in academic departments but also at private – eye centres. Early-stage development is driven by entrepreneurs in small start-ups who hope to commercialize a product. Developing any new product from innovator to surgeon or patient requires good science, good technology, good management, lots of capital, and persistence.
The main driver of innovation is unmet patient need, improvement in patient care and simplifying complicated procedures. Although innovation has always been central to the culture of ophthalmology, the undertaking increasingly requires collaboration with other stakeholders. Several conferences now bring these innovators together and give insights to the young generation and all the Ophthalmologists in a broad way. Presenting 7 innovations that changed the world of Ophthalmology.
