FP2127 : RARE COMPLICATIONS OF SCLERAL BUCKLING – TWO INTERESTING CASE REPORT

We report unusual complications noted in two cases post scleral buckling surgery
Case 1 where 58/f presented with nodular lesion 6 months post surgery clinically appeared granulomatous excision biopsy was done and same was confirmed by histopathology as pyogenic granuloma, no buckle removal was done
Case 2 presented with scleral buckle exposure post surgery at 6 month follow up. The buckle material along with granulation tissue underneath and sutures were sent for culture and culture revealed candida albicans patient was treated with systemic and topical antifungals
In both our cases retina was well attached at minimum 6month follow up
