Abstract
Uveitis if left untreated may cause serious vision threatening complications. The precise complication of each subtype of uveitis are varied, likewise vasculitis may lead to retinal ischemia subsequent retinal neovascularization, vitreous hemorrhage, tractional retinal detachment (TRD) or even combined mechanism retinal detachment. The occurrence of TRD in such cases posses a considerable challenge owing to their poor anatomical & functional outcomes. Herein these cases inflammatory mediators play a major role. This type of tractional detachment differs from a vascular cause of TRD in terms of the epicenter of proliferation. The video demonstrates various techniques used to operate a case of TRD secondary to Vasculitis.
