VT0482 : Recreational lasers: The good, the bad and the ugly

Abstract

Laser injuries have shown a very predictable and recurring trend of increasing incidence during the festivity period.

In our case series we present spectrum of cases of recreational laser induced trauma which were mutually exclusive from each other with respect to time and place of injury. The mean age of the patients was 25.8 years. The spectrum of retinal injuries included subhyaloid hemorrhage, sub-ILM hemorrhage, intraretinal and subretinal hemorrhage, outer retinal layers injury which were managed accordingly.
