Abstract

19 year Old male presented to us with history of decrease of vision both eyes since age of 7. No significant pediatric history. Milestones normal. Vision both eyes 6/24 with no improvement with pinhole. Right eye had retinoschisis with retinal detachment with mutiple lattices . left had inferior multiple lattices with hole and peripheral retinoschisis, temporal fibrovascular traction. Left eye barrage laser was done. In Right eye vitrectomy was done, inner layer of retinoschisis removed with cutter, subretinal fluid drained from outer retinal hole and silicone oil injected. The patient maintained vision over 6 months. Case highlights removal of inner layer of retinoschisis to prevent reproliferation of dense membranes and proliferative vitreoretinopathy.
