VT0292 : VISION MAZIC BY WAVEFRONT GUIDED PUPILLOPLASTY IN POST KERATOPLASTY PATIENTS

Abstract

Penetrating keratoplasty (PKP) is a surgical procedure in which a damaged or diseased cornea is replaced with a healthy cornea from a donor. Although PKP can be highly successful in restoring vision, it is not without its challenges. One of the most common complications of PKP is irregular astigmatism, which can cause significant visual disturbances such as blurred or distorted vision. Wavefront-guided single pass four-throw pupilloplasty is an advanced surgical technique that may offer a promising solution for post-PKP patients experiencing irregular astigmatism. In this video, we will show the benefits and outcomes of wavefront-guided single pass four-throw pupilloplasty in post-PKP patients, and discuss its potential as a new standard of care in the management of this challenging condition.
