Abstract
Case of Tractional Retinal Detachment with Vitreous Hemorrhage secondary to Eale's Vasculitis in a 30 year old Male patient whose chief complaint was Diminution of vision in the left eye since 2 months.
Would like to highlight the challenges that one may face when dealing with such cases:
1. Fibrovascular proliferative membranes in relatively long standing cases maybe more adherent than anticipated.
2. Vitreoschisis
3. PVD induction may be challenging owing to the younger age of these patients
4. Inflammatory nature of these vasculitic conditions predispose them to develop secondary ERM in future so pre-emptive peeling maybe beneficial.
Our Patient did well with an improvement in Left eye vision from Counting fingers at 2 meters to 6/9, after a Vitrectomy.
