Abstract
Pars plana vitrectomy for the anterior segment surgeon will be simplified using step by step videos and its use in the management of posterior capsular rupture, phacomorphic glaucoma and crowded anterior chambers will be showcased. Tackling the small pupil with pupil expanders and management of iris defects through innovative pupilloplasty techniques will be discussed. The use of Chandelier illumination to enhance visualization through the hazy cornea to tackle cataract in cases of corneal opacity and use of capsular support devices in cases with an unstable bag will be illustrated through surgical videos. The implantation of IOL in cases of deficient capsular support and various options- sulcus implantation, glued scleral fixation and iris claw IOLs will be elaborated. The application of newer technologies such as the Femtosecond laser platform in complex cases will be discussed.
