GP0113 : Retina -Where inflammation meets Neovascularization: basics to clinics !! A Novel approach

Abstract

Dr.Malay Chaturvedi

Thought of the IC initiates from the unique observation that inflammation and neo-vascularization often coexist in retinal diseases. Hence retina experts decided to explore into the coexistence and discuss the etio-pathological correlations. We termed such conditions as Retinal inflammatory Neovascular Conditions (RINC). To add flavor, clinical presentations and basic diagnostic take-aways are being shared with apropos to upcoming ophthalmologists and non retina specialists. Advanced diagnostics in evaluating such diseases along with basic therapeutic interventions have also been included. Diabetic macular edema is being discussed as test case of RINC. For making it interactive a vote-pad based q & A discussion has been incorporated. Thus we would present common retinal diseases with a different dimension and simultaneously learn the practical practicing tips to handle such retinal diseases for empowering non-retina specialists .
