FP0355 : Case Report- Surgical correction of Adult Onset Cyclic Esotropia (Post Traumatic )

Abstract

Adult onset Cyclic esotropia, an extremley rare condition characterized by regularly alternating periods of esotropia and orthotropia. I present a case of a 23-year-old male who had trauma to the affected eye, had undergone surgery for traumatic cataract elesewhere. He presented to us with long standing closed funnel retinal detachment in the same eye along with cyclic esotropia.He was PL negative in this eye now and wanted squint correction. He had a 48 hour cycle. Reconstructive squint surgery was performed which restored orthotropia and abolished the pattern.
