FP0347 : Intravitreal Dex implant (Ozurdex) in Epiretinal Membrane Surgeries- Retrospective Analysis

Abstract

Study Design: Retrospective Analysis

Purpose: To elucidate the efficacy of simultaneous injection of Ozurdex in idiopathic Epiretinal membrane surgeries.
Methods: 25G Pars plana vitrectomy was performed for Epiretinal membranes, ERM peeling and ILM peeling was done and Intra vitreal Dex implant was injected and closed under saline.
BCVA, IOP, CMT on day 1, Day 30, Day 90 was measured.
Results: Data of 18 patients were analysed and it was found that at Day 90 there was a reduction of CMT and increase in mean BCVA in all the patients.
Conclusion: Ozurdex is a safe implant to be injected during surgery and it is helpful in the healing of retina and restoration of retinal anatomy post ERM peeling.
