Abstract
Study Design- Case series
Purpose- To highlight varied posterior segment manifestations of Ocular Cysticercosis. A case series consisting of 3 cases presenting differently and managed accordingly.
Methods- fundus photo, multimodal imaging, multidisciplinary consultations, surgical and medical management and indications and follow-up
Results- Case 1 presented with multiple non-centre involving parafoveal subretinal cysts with scolex with vision of 20/20, managed with Pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) with removal of subretinal cysts with endolaser with silicon oil tamponade (Sio). Case 2 presented with subfoveal sub-retinal cysts with scolex with vision of FCCF, managed with PPV with removal of sub-retinal cysts with scolex with Sio. Case 3 presented with advanced stage with eye being prethisical with vision of PL +- with central tractional retinal detachment with subretinal cysts in the periphery.
Conclusion- Varied presentations of ocular cysticercosis and its management accordingly.
